Program Objectives

This program equips participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to safely and professionally guide groups on long-distance routes in the Israeli desert. Participants will develop professional competence in route planning, navigation, field logistics, risk management, group leadership, and decision-making under challenging environmental conditions. The curriculum also explores the geography, history, and cultures of the peoples of the Israeli desert.

While the practical training is conducted in Israel, many of the principles and skills taught throughout the program are transferable to desert and other dryland environments around the world.
